IPL for the first time

*disclaimer, this is not a sponsored post or ad. It is truly, purely based on my own experience and opinion.

I have been looking around for a cheap IPL treatment for the longest time. I know the next thing that comes to your mind is, you pay what you get and where would you find a cheap one? Well, I did suckers.

I tried googling online and roaming around shopping malls to find a salon that really fits my criteria. But they are all damn expensive? They range from around $300++ and some even go up to $600++ for packages?! Crazily insane.

Okay, for IPL right, it really depends on individuals on the number of sessions that you need. So I find that it is really unfair to sell packages. Because you might be paying more than you need right?

And then once I saw this blogger advertising this salon which provides IPL treatment - Japan IPL Express. I know how IPL works but what catches my attention was the pricing. When I saw it, I was like wtf so excited and I immediately whatsapped my friend and share this info with her.

Basically they do not sell packages. You pay for what you need. And it is only $1.98 per shot??! Best thing if you are a student, you pay $0.98 WTF. And now they are having a promotion la, so you can go to their website to find out more. My purpose is to share my experience of IPL, not advertise for the salon so yeap.

So this was my first time IPL and honestly I was very very scared, excited and shy. Everything mixed up. The exterior of the salon was so intimidating with a very scary looking black gorilla at the entrance wtf. My friend and I paced back and forth contemplating if we should drop the idea. For the sake of being hairless, we sucked it up and approached the counter.

All we have to do is to fill up a form and tell the staffs which area do you want to do. So I chose Brazillian and underarms. I used to shave my vjj but it is very tedious. Like I did not shave very cleanly. So it was always a nightmare to shave my down there. I do not shave my underarms because I do not like having bumps and ingrown hair. So I pluck them. I still do have ingrown hair, but not as much as shaving. These two areas are my concern so I target on them instead.

The interior of the room is very very extremely nice. They provide wet wipes for you to clean up which I really appreciate even though I took the effort to clean up before I enter the salon. Fear not if you forgot to shave because they will shave for you with their own shaver at the price of $1.98.

The pain really is nothing. I did get a shock for the first shot because of the light and the sensation, a bit warm but tolerable. But the sensation was x2 at my vjj because of the sensitivity. But then again, the thoughtful staff will put cooling gel to help you cope. Even though you see me got tattoo, piercings all these right, my threshold for pain is really really low. HAHAHAHA. So when I say it is tolerable, IT IS.

So it has been 2 weeks plus since my first session, I have seen the effect on my vjj. There were bald spots and it was literally the first time I felt so happy having bald spots. I have been looking forward for the second session since I stepped out of the salon. HAHAHAHA. Bring me to August please!! Looking forward to "no need to shave for the rest of my life" HAHAHAAHA. Okie so I will stop here, any enquiries you can contact them. Information is all up on their website. Have fun being hairless!! BYEBYE
