Sponsored: Essential CC oil & Night Care Milk

Hey guys, sorry for the long hiatus! My laptop was dead and I didn't realized I didn't manage to post this = data all lost so I had to redo all over again. And I am so super sorry!

Anyhow, as you can see from the title, today's sponsored post will be about Essential's CC oil and Night care cream. As we all know, daily heat styling, perming, and frequent dyeing of hair causes damage to our precious locks. But very few of us actually know that external environment factors and everyday habits contribute damage to our hair too!

Before I move on to introduce to you guys about the hair care products, let me just share a little more on the 5 stresses on our hair which are caused by our own habits and external environment habits.

First of all,

Blow drying

Many people, regardless men or women, blow dry their hair after showering. Honestly I don't because I am too damn lazy but I have people around me who do that. Blow drying actually removes moisture from within and outside of our hair cuticle. This means, we not only dry our hair externally, we are actually drying it internally too! When we remove moisture from our hair, it causes the hair to be dry which in turn causes brittle hair. Which means, our precious locks are more susceptible for further damage!

If you think this is bad, you are so wrong because there are actually 4 more stresses to go.

Next up,

Combing

What?? Combing causes harm too?? Well, when we comb our hair, our comb actually create friction to hair cuticles. When you comb through wet hair, it causes a great damage. Imagine this, our hair follicle is already very fragile. And we all know that wet hair = weak hair right? Can you imagine the double blow to our hair? When we comb through dry hair, it actually form knots and when we try to comb it through, it causes the hair to break.

Thirdly,

Split ends

What are split ends? Split ends are actually fraying of hair shaft due to dry brittle hair. We know that hair ends = the oldest and the driest. Therefore we only condition the ends of our hair. Because it is so old plus being exposed to hair dyes and heat, the protective hair cuticle is destroyed which causes the hair strands to split into 2 parts or more.

Next,

Hair breakage

Other than heat styling, blow drying and brushing of hair which causes it to be weak, other seemingly harmless actions such as tight ponytails and twirling of hair with fingers play a part too. With all these actions, excessive stress are exerted which ended up with breakage.

Last but not least,

Dryness

With external environmental factors such as sun exposure, wind and air-conditioning, the hair cuticle that protects the hair is weakened and unable to retain moisture from within. So even if you do not blow dry your hair, the sun can actually cause dryness too. Something which happened to me.

Because of all these stresses, Essential has came up with a cream and a CC oil to help us tackle these problems.

CC oil

First of all, let's talk about the CC oil because it seems so interesting??

We know and have used a cc or bb cream right? Cc or bb creams are known to have a number of effects just inside a tube. In this case, the CC oil has a similar function except that it is an oil that protects against 5 stresses. So what does it do? It forms a protective coat around our hair strands which makes it more beautiful and manageable with less tangles. All you have to do is to apply it in the morning and then you can reapply it at anytime of the day.

Directions
1. Use on towel-dried or damp hair
2. Pump an appropriate amount onto palm
3. Spread and apply evenly onto hair, concentrating on mid-length to the tip of the hair
4. Do not rinse off

Night care cream

The night care cream protect from pillow friction by leaving protective coat around each strand and prevent misaligned cuticles when hair rubs against pillowcase, leaving hair more manageable. Just simply apply onto damp or dry hair before going to bed!

Now, what are pillow friction? Pillow friction are caused by hair rubbing against pillowcase. When you wake up in the morning, you can see untamed hair. Because of this issue, many women wake up an hour earlier just so that they can wash their hair to "tame" it. While some who are like me, who rather spend that extra time to sleep, simply put our hair into a ponytail before leaving to go about our day. With this, we no longer have to wake up an hour earlier or conceal our precious locks with a ponytail.

Directions
1. Use on towel-dried or damp hair, or before blow-drying (can also be used on dry hair)
2. Pump an appropriate amount onto palm
3. Spread and apply evenly onto hair, concentrating on mid-length to tip of hair
4. Do not rinse off

Personally, I have tried the CC oil and it made my hair more shinier. Before putting it on, my hair was very dull because I have dry hair.

Before

This was when I did not use the CC oil.

After

It has definitely added some shine to my lifeless hair + "tame" it because I have short hair + they are all in awkward directions.

If you'd like to buy, both the CC oil and the night care cream are retailing at $11.90. Also, do try their Facebook game to win weekly prizes (it actually started on 3rd September though): https://apps.facebook.com/essentialmanehero/
